Next Up are Hatebreed style hardcore outfit Vendetta (6). Their songs are bouncy and the frontman (whose name i forgot to ask for, seeming as no one else really knew who they were either) had energy that got the venue going. The problem with Vendetta is they are trying too hard to be Hatebreed. There were elements in their music from the new self-titled album and almost any Hatebreed lyric could be slotted in at a whim and after half an hour or so even the charismatic nature of the band couldn't carry them enough.
Thank God then for main acts tonight The More I See (8) whose take on old school British Metal mixed with thrash elements goes down well with the crowd. Playing through a 50 minute set at blistering pace they manage to make a big name for themselves, tracks like The Unholy Feast, Near Extinction, What is Worse than the Truth? and even Bloodlines from the yet-to-be-released album Tread The Darker Path, sound too big for this humble venue. Still a relatively fresh act, they promise a good live show every time. If they are playing in your time, check them out. You won't be dissapointed.
